What Are Collections
Collections are groups of assets that you want to access together. Think events, content type, or sponsored assets you'd like to folder together. Collections can be added to Fonts, Graphics, Overlays, Templates, Audio and Backgrounds. Collections make it easier to manage assets for campaigns, events or any other time where you want specific sets of assets to be used together.
Creating a Collection on the Web Portal
Within your web dashboard, click on the “Add Collection” icon located at the top left of the asset drawers
Add a collection name
Add any search terms that you want the assets within your collection to inherit
Adjust the visibility of your collection’s assets within the creator apps
Select which asset types you would like your collection to include
Click "save' to create your collection
Adding Previously Uploaded Assets Into a Collection
Select the assets you would like to add to a collection
Click the three dots at the top of the asset drawer
Select 'Move'
Select which collection to assign your assets to, or click 'Create collection' to put these in a brand new collection
Apply your changes by clicking 'Publish Changes' at the bottom left of the screen
Editing a Collection
Select the three dots next to the collection you would like to edit
Click 'Edit' from the dropdown menu
Make your edits and save your changes
Uploading Multiple Assets into a Collection
Select the collection you would like to upload to within the top bar of the appropriate asset drawer
Drag and drop your assets into the asset drawer
All assets uploaded should now reflect being in the selected collection
Click 'Publish Changes' at the bottom left of the screen to make these changes live
Editing Collection Visibility
If there is a collection you don't want accessed by your creators, you have the ability to turn visibility on and off in the creator app. Here's how:
Click the eye icon next to the collection you want to edit
Under the settings, toggle the 'Visible within the creator app' button on or off as you desire.
Save and publish your changes
Reordering Collections
To change the order collections appear when creating, you can:
1. Click the list icon to the right of collections listed in an asset type
2. Under the list of collections, drag and drop to reorder to your desired listing
3. Click 'Apply' and publish your changes
Creating Content with Collections in the Web Creation Studio
In the web portal, select 'Create Content' button in the upper right corner. Select either new project, or open an existing one
Add in your media by either dragging it into the canvas, or clicking 'Media' in the navigation on the left hand toolbar and choosing your files there
Go to the asset type you want to add (overlays, graphics, etc) and use the drop down bar at the top of your asset drawer to change which collection you are viewing at any given time
Add your asset and continue your content creation
When you're ready, click the 'Export' button in the upper right corner to download your content
Creating Content with Collections in the Mobile App
Open the mobile app and add your media in the media drawer
Go to the asset type you want to add (overlays, graphics, etc) and select the collection you want to use and find your asset and click it to drop it into your canvas
TIP: Slate remembers what collection you’re using, so you only see what matters in the moment. Your selected collection will remain until you select the all drawer or your session ends.
NOTE: Collections will be visible within in the mobile app for any asset type or collection that has the “Visible within creator apps” toggle turned ON in the Slate brand portal.

FAQs:
Q: Why can't I see a collection my team made when I'm in the mobile app?
A: It may not be visible to you. Go to the web portal and make sure the eye icon isn't crossed off on the collection you're trying to see, and that the workspace is published.
Q: How do I move a graphic to a collection from the mobile app?
A: You need to be in the web portal to manage your assets. Go there and move your graphic and be sure to publish changes to your workspace!
