What is Denoise?
Videos too noisy? Have copyrighted music playing in the background? With Denoise, scrub out all that background audio or simply lower it's volume and help elevate the speaker's voice. Say goodbye to muting your videos to avoid copyright issues, or never being able to post that stellar post-game interview. Keep what you need, and scrub out what you don't.
How to Use Denoise on Web
Open your Slate dashboard and click 'Create Content' in the top right corner
Select 'New Project'
Choose the ratio you would like to work in at the top of the screen
Add your video(s) to your project by accessing your media drawer
Right click on your video clip in timeline and select 'remove noise' from the pop-up menu
Once it scrubs, move the level of background audio kept up or down by scrolling the doggle bar
Make any additional edits to your video, and click 'export'
NOTE: In order to remove background noise, there needs to be a speaker's voice present in the video. If you have a video with music or simply noisy background, you won't be able to use this feature.
How to use Denoise on Mobile
Open the Slate iOS app
Add in a video to your workspace by tapping 'Media' on the bottom left of the screen
Tap on 'Timeline' from the bottom menu
Scroll to 'Denoise' in the top menu to begin removing background audio
Once it scrubs, move the level of background audio kept up or down by scrolling the doggle bar
NOTE: In order to remove background noise, there needs to be a speaker's voice present in the video. If you have a video with music or simply noisy background, you won't be able to use this feature.

Q: Is Denoise available on Android?
A: Not yet, Denoise is currently only available on iOS and web.
Q: Can I scrub music or background noise out from a video with no speaker voice?
A: Currently, no. In order to scrub this audio out, there needs to be a speaker voice present. If you need to edit that audio, we suggest muting the video.
