What is Cropping?
Cropping allows you to adjust your media to a new size to remove unwanted parts, or fit a specific dimension. This feature is vital for improving composition, focusing on specific elements, and removing distractions from your images or videos. You can choose between freeform selection or our standard social sizes (1:1, 4:5, 9:16, 16:9) to size your media into.

Getting Started with Cropping
Add a piece of media by tapping 'Media'
Tap on your photo or video in your workspace, or click 'Edit' from the toolbar

Cropping Media as a Sticker
Add in a piece of media from your 'Media' drawer
Click 'Graphics' and select the black and white image button in the top left of your graphics drawer
Select the piece of media you would like to layer in as a sticker
Tap the media as a sticker, and select 'Edit' from the popup menu
Select 'Crop' from the new menu that appears, and select the size you'd like to adjust your media
Crop Multiple Videos in Timeline
Once you've added in your video/s into Slate, tap the timeline icon from the navigation bar
Tap the clip you would like to edit from the bottom toolbar. Pinch to zoom in the frame to crop the video to the desired framing
