Using Media as a Sticker

Stack media with media as a sticker! Learn how to add, resize, cutout, and adjust the duration of media as a sticker to your Slate content

What is Media as a Sticker?

Media as a sticker allows you to create graphics from photos and videos in your camera roll. It’s another way to achieve multimedia content, but with freeform abilities.You can add multiple media stickers, control asset duration, make quality adjustments, and even remove the background of a sticker.

Add Media as a Sticker

  1. Open the Slate Mobile App

  2. Add in a piece of media from your 'Media' drawer

  3. Click 'Graphics' and select the black and white image button in the top left of your graphics drawer

  4. Choose any photo or video you wish to add as a sticker

  5. This content will now be layered over your original media! To resize or move the media, tap on it and pinch in and out with two fingers to move around your workspace

Cropping and Adjustments

To make any adjustments to your media sticker, double tap on it in your workspace. Select 'Edit' from the menu options that pop up. In here, you can tap:

  • Delete: Selecting this will delete your media as sticker

  • Rotate: This will spin your image or video a perfect 90 degrees

  • Crop: Resize your image to a perfect 1:1, 4:5, 9:16, or 16:9, quickly crop your media into a circle, or use freeform to create the perfect fit

  • Adjust: This will take you to photo editing settings! Control saturation, contrast, and much more on your image or video

  • Radius: Round the corners of your media by controlling the radius / roundness

  • Outline: Add an outline to your media by selecting a color and the width of the outline

  • Shadow: Add a drop shadow to your media by selecting one of three preset options, the color of the shadow and the intensity

  • Remove BG: This will remove your image's background and cut it out where the center focus is

Using Asset Duration

Control how long and when your media as a sticker appears on your video. Here's how:

  1. Double tap on the added media sticker

  2. Select 'Set Duration' from the pop-up menu

  3. Slide the handles on the bars that appear in the timeline view at the bottom of the screen to control when your asset will be seen

  4. Click 'Apply'

  5. Tap on 'Timeline' from the bottom toolbar, and click 'Graphics' to make any final edits to your duration

  6. Click 'Share' when you're finished editing

NOTE: Duration can only be adjusted when you are adding media stickers onto video content.
